It is recommended to begin the application process one year prior to entry. Student visits and campus tours begin in late September. Children must be three years of age by September 1 to enter Early School, five years of age by September 1 to enter Kindergarten, and so on.
Prairie School admits students on a rolling basis, and we do not have specific application deadlines, however we encourage families to apply the fall/winter before they wish to enroll. We will continue to accept applications even after a grade has been filled and will notify applicants if placed on a waiting list.
Prairie offers a limited amount of scholarship money to families who meet the necessary qualifications. Official Scholarship Program applications are available in January of every year. Prior to January, families may complete a Preliminary Family Contribution form, which allows the School to review the family’s financial circumstances to determine if they may qualify for assistance and, if so, in what range. All families who wish to apply for the Scholarship Program must annually complete a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). This may be obtained through Prairie’s Business Office or completed online at . Prairie School also requires copies of most recent federal tax return and W2’s.
Students applying to Prairie School are required to spend a day in the life of the School. Applicants for grades 1-12 will spend an entire school day at Prairie. Applicants for Early School and Kindergarten番茄社区成人app will remain for a three-hour morning visit.
After all pieces of the application have been submitted, the student has visited and has been assessed, only then the family will be contacted regarding the admission decision.
Yes, students may arrive as early as 7:15 a.m. and remain until 6:00 p.m. in our Stay and Play program番茄社区成人app. Students may also attend Stay and Play during faculty in-service days and during one week of Spring Break. Families are billed monthly for this service.
Yes. For families in the Racine area, busing is included with the cost of tuition. For our families in the Kenosha and Oak Creek/Franklin areas, there is a $500 annual charge for the service.
