2020-2021 MS Sports

MS Winter Athletics

At this time, MS Winter sports are deferred and remain tentative. In the event that winter sports are offered and your child plans to play a winter sport (Boys’ or Girls’ Basketball, or PSC Swim Club), to register online or check their registration status.

General Information

  • For a complete list of sports by season, click Middle School (Grade 5-8).
  • Click o view current season practice and competition schedules, download a mobile app and subscribe to or update Notify Me preferences. Schedules are subject to change.

MS Athletics Eligibility

  • Online registration is required for all new and returning athletes
  • A Health Physical Form must be filed either electronically on the Athletic Team Registration portal or with the school Health Office
  • Physical exams dated on or after April 1, 2019 are valid for the 2020/2021 school year
  • Physical Extension Form: Eligible students may file this form to extend their previously filed physical form. See form for details.
  • Parents and athletes are required to review the Concussion Fact Sheet. To comply with Wisconsin Concussion laws, parents and students review and electronically sign a Concussion Acknowledgement form during online registration

US Winter Athletics

Winter sport registrations are due Wednesday, November 11th, 2020.  番茄社区成人appPlayers and at least one parent are required to complete complete mandatory WIAA and TPS preseason education.  A virtual All winter sport parent/athlete preseason meeting presentation will soon be released to fulfill this requirement.  Late registrations are accepted through the start of the season, however your child’s eligibility to start may be delayed. Registrations received after the start of the season require Athletic Director and Head Coach approval.

Winter Sport Season Start Dates (note recent date changes):

  • Girls’ Basketball: Monday, November 16th
  • Boys’ Basketball & Boys’ Swimming:  Monday, November 23rd

2020-2021 Winter Sport Virtual Preseason Meeting

番茄社区成人appDue to COVID, the all sport preseason meeting is VIRTUAL!   On November 12th, the Athletic Office emailed a Student Google Form and Parent/Guardian Google Form to athletes and the primary parent/guardian email associated with the Family Athletic Account who were registered as of this date. The email includes an introductory video, slideshow and quiz which is due by November 17th.  The Athletic Office will email the same forms to all late registrants.

US Athletics Eligibility

  • A WIAA Medical Eligibility Form is required for all students new to Prairie and first time athletes.
  • For the 2020-2021 school year only, freshman rising from Prairie’s Middle School and returning high school athletes may be eligible to file a WIAA Physical Extension Form: See form for details.
  • The school Health Physical Form is in addition to the WIAA Medical Eligibility Form.
  • Please file all health related forms electronically on the ATR portal and retain the original for your records.
  • NOTE:  Health forms will be rejected and the student will not be cleared to practice or compete if the exam date is omitted, expired, post-dated and/or if required signatures are missing.
  • Each athlete and at least one parent are required to attend the pre-season meeting for their chosen sport(s) and season(s)

Each year, we see more and more of our student-athletes seeking information on opportunities to participate in college-athletics.  We have dedicated this section to providing you resources that will allow you access to valuable information about the types of programs and the steps involved in seeking opportunities to play at the collegiate level. The National Student Clearinghouse, a non-profit organization, is the nation’s trusted source for student degree and enrollment verification. Any student pursuing college athletics, at any level, must register with the Clearinghouse.  The Upper School College Admissions Office can help you complete this process.
